Looking for clean, ready-to-play Nintendo Wii ROMs? This page collects the most-requested Wii titles in the formats Dolphin understands best—WBFS, ISO and sometimes NKit—so you can jump in fast on PC or Android.
About Wii ROMs and formats
- WBFS: Trimmed dumps with smaller file sizes. Great for most users and easy to manage on large libraries.
- ISO: Full, untrimmed disc images (4.37 GB in most cases). Best for accuracy and patching.
- NKit: Highly compressed preservation format. For maximum compatibility, convert NKit back to ISO before use.
Regions and compatibility
Games are tagged by region (USA / PAL / JPN). Dolphin runs all of them; PAL releases may target 50 Hz by default, while USA/JPN are 60 Hz. If you see speed differences, check the game’s region in Dolphin and adjust the video mode accordingly.
How to play on Dolphin (PC & Android)
- Install the latest Dolphin build (official or Android).
- In Dolphin, add your “Wii ROMs” folder to Game Directories.
- Connect your controller (GameCube pad, DualShock/Xbox, or map a Wii Remote).
- Optional: raise Internal Resolution (2× for low-end, 3×–4× for strong GPUs). If you notice shader stutter, try Ubershaders.
File sizes and performance
WBFS keeps downloads light while preserving quality; ISO keeps the full disc intact. Higher internal resolutions sharpen 3D games like Mario Kart Wii and Super Mario Galaxy without changing gameplay.
Popular Wii games to start with
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii
- Mario Kart Wii
- Super Mario Galaxy & Galaxy 2
- Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3
- Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
- The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Quick answers
- WBFS vs ISO? WBFS is smaller for day-to-day play; ISO is the full dump that some patches and tools require.
- NKit not working? Convert NKit → ISO, then run in Dolphin.
- Android setup? Use Dolphin for Android, point it to your ROMs folder, and keep “Internal Resolution” conservative for mid-range phones.
Note
Use these files only if you own the original discs. This library is provided for preservation and personal backup purposes.
