New Super Mario Bros. Wii 2 – The Next Levels Rom is a fan-made game for the Nintendo Wii that adds completely new levels and some clever changes to the classic Mario style. Even though it’s unofficial, it honestly feels like a fresh part of the series, with harder stages and lots of secrets waiting to be found.

I’ve been playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii 2 – The Next Levels recently, and I’m impressed with how polished it is for a fan project. It’s designed for the Wii and features a bunch of brand-new levels that blend classic Mario platforming with some clever new ideas.

Some levels are noticeably trickier than the ones in the official games, but they’re still fair and not frustrating. There’s loads of hidden stuff to find, and the game keeps that bright, familiar Mario look. Even though it’s fan-made, it works well on most Wii emulators without many issues.

If you enjoy platformers and feel like trying something new beyond the usual Mario games, it’s worth giving the English ROM of New Super Mario Bros. Wii 2 – The Next Levels a shot.
