The first choice in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is not a fighter. It is which arcade release to enter. The Dreamcast disc places JoJo’s Venture beside the expanded JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and this JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure ROM contains both. The ROM archive uses .bin disc data for Sega Dreamcast emulation.

Capcom built the game around Stardust Crusaders. Jotaro Kujo and his allies are trying to reach DIO before his mother’s uncontrollable Stand takes her life. The roster does not stop with human martial artists. Iggy is a small dog, and Pet Shop is DIO’s falcon. A match can move from Jotaro and Star Platinum trading heavy blows at close range to an opponent attacking low to the floor or from the air. Large sprites, sudden color shifts, and manga-like cut-ins keep the fights tied to Hirohiko Araki’s style.
Two arcade releases share the Dreamcast disc
JoJo’s Venture is the earlier arcade game, with a tighter roster. The second selection is the expanded revision known as Heritage for the Future. It adds more fighters and character variants. Choosing between them is not the same as selecting a difficulty level; each reflects a different stage of Capcom’s arcade release.
This also separates the Dreamcast edition from the PlayStation port. Super Story Mode belongs to the PlayStation version, while Dreamcast concentrates on the two arcade games. Story Mode still interrupts the usual arena routine at certain points. During the encounter with N’Doul, the fighter moves forward while attacks from his water Stand, Geb, cut across the route.
For a second player, Versus is available from the menu. Training is useful for checking which attacks change when a Stand is called. Challenge mode is less forgiving: one fighter must continue through opponent after opponent. Under Easy, selected special moves and a Super Combo are assigned to simple button inputs. It is still the same fight, just without requiring every motion from the start.

Stand control sets the rhythm of a fight
For most of the roster, the Stand button switches between Normal and Stand states. Call a Stand, and the character’s reach or move set can change immediately; some attacks now come from the fighter’s supernatural partner. That extra presence also creates a weakness. Hits taken by the Stand drain its own gauge, and an empty gauge causes a Stand Crash that leaves the fighter stunned for a moment. Withdrawing the Stand allows that meter to refill.
The meter along the bottom stores levels for Super Combos. Its starting level can be changed in Options, along with difficulty and damage. Round count and the timer are adjustable as well. In Training, repeat a basic attack sequence with the Stand active, then withdraw it and try again. The same buttons may not produce the same moves.
Loading the .bin ROM without losing track data
Extract the downloaded archive before adding it to a Dreamcast emulator. If the folder contains more than one .bin track or includes a matching .cue or .gdi file, keep everything together and leave the filenames unchanged. Those small descriptor files tell the emulator how the disc tracks fit together; moving one .bin by itself may leave part of the image behind.
Redream supports Dreamcast BIN/CUE images, so the extracted folder can be added to its game path. If another emulator uses manual file selection, choose the matching .cue or .gdi when one came with the .bin tracks. After the game appears, map a dedicated controller button to the Stand command.
When the title screen presents JoJo’s Venture and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure as separate choices, the ROM has reached the correct Dreamcast menu. They are the two arcade revisions stored on the same release, not duplicate files.
