Download the Pokemon Sun ROM and jump back into the islands of Alola using a 3DS emulator. Pokemon Sun one of the 3DS’s most beloved titles and a fan-favorite across the entire Pokemon series can be played again on your PC or phone through its 3GB game file and an emulator like Citra. We’ve provided the full game in both .3DS and .CIA formats, and both versions are from the USA region.

Inside the Story of Pokemon Sun

But before that, let’s talk about what Pokemon Sun actually is and what kind of story it tells.

The game takes place on a tropical island chain called Alola, a region clearly inspired by Hawaii. You play as a teenage boy or girl who has just moved there. From the moment you arrive, you’re drawn into an adventure that has you:

  • discovering new Pokemon,
  • completing the island trials,
  • dealing with the trouble-making Team Skull,
  • and uncovering the mystery behind strange beings known as the Ultra Beasts.

If you had to sum it up in one line:

Pokemon Sun follows the journey of a young trainer who sets out to discover new Pokemon, protect Alola from an interdimensional threat, and ultimately become the region’s very first Champion.
